| East met West as the owners of this Pacific Northwest estate sought to blend their Adirondack heritage with the location of their second home. Monumental field stone columns and fir trusses were softened by hand-woven rugs, textural fabrics, and carved wooden furnishings. Guests are greeted by an over-scaled saddle chest in the grand entry hall in memory of the Arabian horses the client bred and rode in competition. Authentic colors of New England such as Pennsylvania Dutch red were mixed using milk paint, and applied to beadboard paneling in the diningroom and master bath.
